Writing for Wellness
We recently teamed up with author, poet, teacher, and therapist, Joy Roulier-Sawyer of Lighthouse Writers Workshop for a Connected Event. In a world where we are bombarded with thoughts and opinions, we often make little time for our own. In Connected Cup's recent Writing for Wellness workshop, Joy showed us how writing techniques like "parking your day on the page" provide us with significant mental and physical health benefits. Mental health providers are in the middle of an unprecedented crisis. Providers are becoming increasingly overwhelmed with insufficient tools and limited time to support their own mental wellness.
